The Ocean
The Atlantic ocean shapes our people and our province. Nova Scotia is almost completely surrounded by 7,500 km of coastline, and you’re never more than about 64km from the ocean anywhere in the province. Rocky oceanside hiking trails, white-sand beaches, sailing regattas and surfing hotspots - you’ll find it all by the sea.
Recreation and Sports
Nova Scotia has a strong infrastructure of organized sports facilities and recreational activities. In every season, there’s always something to do and it’s easy to find a new interest in Nova Scotia.
Parks
With two National Parks (the Cape Breton Highlands and Kejimkujik) and many Provincial Parks, camping, hiking, canoeing, or simply exploring the outdoors is a part of nearly every Nova Scotian’s life.
Festivals and Events
There’s always something worth celebrating in Nova Scotia. And our list of festivals, events, concerts and more is growing by the day.
