Uniquely Nova Scotian
It’s in our nature as Nova Scotians to talk about the weather. Our weather is as varied as our people, and we find a sense of pride in that.
Nova Scotia is home to many microclimates that offer unique variations on the traditional climate associated with living near the ocean. From hot and humid summers in the Annapolis Valley, to foggy and rainy winter days on the Eastern Shore, there’s something for everyone.
Generally speaking, Nova Scotia has one of the most moderated climates in Canada, due to its proximity to the ocean. We see average winter lows near -5℃ and average summer highs near 23℃, which allow for outdoor activities and fun all year round.
