Nova Scotia Business Inc. is currently seeking companies interested in participating in a Supplier Diversity trade mission, centred around Connect, Collaborate, Succeed 2018 in Toronto, Ontario, hosted by Supplier Diversity Alliance Canada. The event will provide valuable networking opportunities with a focus on cultivating, building, and growing relationships and opportunities between certified diverse suppliers, corporations and public organizations.
Nova Scotia businesses of diversity that are interested in becoming certified, newly certified, and have experience with certification are encouraged to apply.
What is a business of diversity?
Nova Scotia Business Inc. has defined businesses of diversity based on the eligibility requirements and definitions of Canadian Supplier Diversity Certification organizations.
Businesses of diversity are 51%+ owned, managed, and controlled by Aboriginals, Disabled Persons, LGBT, Veterans, Visible Minorities, or Women.
Participation in this mission includes:
- A one-day, mandatory, preparation workshop (lunch provided) in Halifax, October 4. All participants will work with the trade mission consultant, Jamie Crump.
- Registration and attendance at Connect, Collaborate, Succeed 2018.
- Orientation with Jamie Crump, in Toronto, the evening before the event.
- Private luncheon in Toronto with invited corporate guests.
- Afternoon de-brief and program with Jamie Crump.

Please note: Space is limited. Companies are responsible for cost of travel, accommodation and all in-market meals and expenses.
Companies may be eligible for financial support through the Export Growth Program.
Export Growth Program supports businesses looking to increase their export sales outside of Nova Scotia. The program provides financial incentives for projects that assist a business’ ability to overcome barriers to export growth.
