Nova Scotia Business Inc. is currently seeking businesses of diversity to join us in Toronto for the Canadian Aboriginal Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) Diversity Procurement Fair. The focus of this event is cultivating, building and growing relationships with global suppliers who are committed to doing business with businesses of diversity. Canadian and US business leaders across sectors will also attend to share best practices for securing business within global supply chains.

NSBI has defined businesses of diversity, based on the eligibility requirements and definitions of Canadian supplier diversity certification organizations.

Businesses of diversity are 51%+ owned, managed, and controlled by Aboriginal and/or Indigenous Persons, Persons with Disabilities, LGBT+, Veterans, Visible Minorities, or Women.

This mission includes:

  • Preparation workshop in Halifax (March 4, 8:30 am – 12:00 pm) where participants will work with a consultant to develop their capability statements and short pitches, and learn best practices on how to work supplier diversity events.  The consultant will follow-up with each participant after the trade mission.
  • NSBI hosted private breakfast in Toronto for supplier diversity corporates.
  • Inclusion in a directory (digital and print) of Nova Scotia businesses of diversity.
