NSBI, in partnership with The Consulate General of Canada in Boston, is organizing a delegation of Nova Scotia ocean tech companies to attend and exhibit at the Maritime Innovation Conference at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to pitch their technologies to a local audience, and to participate in a variety of site visits to companies and research institutions in Massachusetts (MA) and Rhode Island (RI).

The Maritime Innovation Conference, hosted at the University of Massachusetts, is the premier event for connecting to the marine technology industry in New England. The theme for 2017 is autonomy, with cybersecurity and communication as sub-themes. This year’s event is being held in conjunction with the Marine Technology Society’s (MTS) Tech Surge in Fall River, MA. The conference is expected to attract 250 attendees over the course of the two-days of programming.

Each participating company will receive:

  • An individual exhibit table at Maritime Innovation Conference on November 29, 2017.
  • A five-minute “Elevator Pitch” slot at the Maritime Innovation Conference to promote your technology to an audience of 250 local ocean technology firms, researchers, and government attendees.
  • Registration Pass for MTS Tech Surge on November 28, 2017.
  • Invitation to participate on site visits to local companies and research institutions which may include Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, UMass Dartmouth, University of Rhode Island, Greentown labs and more, to learn about current trends in the New England ocean technology sector, particularly in the marine robotics industry.

Companies participating on this trade mission will also have the opportunity to attend networking events planned around the Boston Christmas Tree Lighting taking place on November 30, 2017.

Registration fee: FREE
