Nova Scotia Business Inc., in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, is pleased to offer Navigating Growth: 2021 and Beyond.
This four-part series will run from 9 am to 10:30 am on the following days:
- September 15: Learning by Unlearning - This very challenging talk explores many of the flaws that help develop our thinking and how to recognize and address them. The session invites you to more broadly look at how we can become better at learning and jettison thoughts that may get in the way of pursuing growth opportunities.
- September 22: Storytelling and the art of persuasion - You need to create a powerful story to enthuse and motivate others around your vision. With this session you will learn how to communicate by creating great stories. You will also learn multiple persuasion techniques that can be deployed in sales and management situations.
- September 29: Strategy you can use - In this session we focus on why companies small and large need to understand what their Objective, Strategy and Tactics are and how to distinguish between them. From there we explore a model we can all use that can help us plan exactly what we need to do to set our path for viable and rapid growth.
- October 6: Scaling up - This session focuses on how companies can scale up and execute on the plans they have made.
Facilitator - Permjot Valia
A salesperson by training with an economics background, Permjot Valia is the co-founder and finance director of Flight and Partners, a fund management business in the U.K. He loves mentoring and works with many start-ups and ecosystems as a pitch trainer. Permjot’s expertise is in business modelling, sales and pitching.
