Disrupting the food waste pipeline

Solving food waste is no easy feat, but Outcast Foods is up to the challenge. The Dartmouth-based sustainable food tech company partners with local and rural farmers to make beautiful food out of ugly produce, creating an upcycled plant-based supply chain and easing food insecurity along the way. This year, they’ve partnered with Sobeys to minimize food waste in its distribution centre and select stores, furthering their goal of saving the planet by saving produce.
