Fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative manufacturing

Matthew MacKenzie did not kick off the year thinking his machine and manufacturing company would be working in the healthcare sector. But by mid-April, Musquodoboit-based MacKenzie Atlantic was producing much-needed PPE for the Nova Scotia Health Authority, IWK Health Centre and more than a dozen long term care facilities. The MacKenzie Atlantic team put their experience to use and manufactured more than 1.2 million face shields at a rate that exceeded expectations, nearly doubling their staff to keep up with demand.
