BRE Certified As Nova Scotia pioneers of the BRE Model (Business Retention and Expansion), our account executives are trained and certified in the delivery of business expansion services through the American-based professional association, Business Retention and Expansion International.
Founded in 1994 in the United States, the BRE Model was designed to visit existing businesses and administer a survey designed to solicit input about the local community, business climate, availability of qualified labor and the need for additional training and technical assistance. The purpose for the survey was to demonstrate to local businesses that the community appreciates their contribution to the local economy and to help existing businesses solve problems by using programs aimed at helping them become more competitive, to develop strategic action plans for long-range business retention and expansion activities, and to build community capacity to sustain growth and development.
The NSBI BAT has taken this approach a step further by not only acting as information gatherers, but also by providing a full range of consulting advice and facilitation services. Please see our Advisory Services section for more information on the programs we offer. We want businesses throughout the province to think of us as the “go-to” business contact for all areas of Nova Scotia.
The Bottom LineIf you have a business opportunity and need consulting or financial assistance, or if you have a problem affecting your business growth, don’t wait until it is too late, please contact our Business Advisory Team and we will work with you to find a solution.
