Trihedral's mission-critical systems software is used throughout the world by power, oil and gas, manufacturing, security and water/wastewater management industries. The organization controls and monitors its clients' processes using its VTScada software.

Those companies include: Aker Kvaerner, in Europe and the U.S.; Ontario Power Generation; Ontario Power Distribution; and the U.S. customs pre-clearance facility at Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

"This is an innovative Nova Scotia company that has proven its global success in a variety of niche markets," said Mr. Goucher. "Trihedral is one of a growing number of organizations that are changing and strengthening our province's economic landscape."

"IT powers the heart of our business," said Mr. Wadden. "We've found skilled labour in Nova Scotia for many years now, and we know that we can maximize our growth potential by continuing to expand in this talent-rich province."

Trihedral has a strong global presence and the payroll rebate will enable the company to engage in more research and development and increase its markets around the world.

Trihedral was recently named one of the Top 10 Best Employers in the Maritimes for 2007 by Canada's Top 100 Employers.

"Talent is the driver behind successful, world-leading companies like Trihedral," said Mr. Lund. "This growth in Bedford is proof that Nova Scotia companies can compete – and win – at home and internationally."
