The Port of Sheet Harbour and Industrial Park are located on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, within the community of Sheet Harbour. Part of the Halifax Regional Municipality, Sheet Harbour is 112 kilometres east of the Capital City of Halifax, and 85 kilometres south of the Town of New Glasgow.
Located in ice free waters, the Port features a 500 foot long (152 m) berthing wharf, 120 feet in width (36.5 m), with 34 feet (10.3) of draught connected to a large concrete pad. There is also an office building, coverall building and gatehouse located within the 12.3 acre fenced common user area.
The Port is well-suited for marine and resource based industry, manufacturing, and transshipment opportunities. The adjacent Industrial Park offers a competitive advantage to industries that wish to ship goods in/out of the Port.
NSBI is the provincial agency responsible for the Port of Sheet Harbour. The Halifax Port Authority manages and operates the Marine Terminal behalf of NSBI.
