Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) is Nova Scotia's private sector-led business development agency. NSBI is the investment attraction arm of the province and helps businesses in Nova Scotia meet growth potential through advisory services, export development, and business financing.
Based out of beautiful downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, we are searching for a Business Development Executive to join NSBI’s team and be committed to building and advancing business for the Province of Nova Scotia. The Business Development team works to increase the visibility and recognition of Nova Scotia as an investment destination at home and abroad. The team also provides growth incentives to new and existing businesses.
Reporting to the Managing Director, Investment Attraction and working with an exciting and driven business development team, you will be responsible for building and developing business relationships with international partners. As the successful candidate, you will identify and qualify sound opportunities and build solid long term relationships with senior management and executives. You will successfully research, develop and present strategic opportunities and facilitate end to end sales relationships with all stakeholders. Travel will be required.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a broad business background, solid business acumen, and the demonstrated ability to deal with people at all levels within an organization. You will bring unwavering professionalism and maturity that will enable you to build effective working relationships required to uncover opportunities and develop these into sustainable business. You are someone who has demonstrated creative solutions to problems and issues. You assess situations quickly - show leadership and bring a sense of confidence to clients. With an undergraduate or graduate degree, the ideal candidate will bring senior sales experience and a track record in complex business development.
