Headquartered in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Techlink Entertainment is a developer of gaming technologies with a focus on creating best-in-class responsible gaming solutions for the international gaming industry.

Responsible Investment
At its manufacturing facility in Edwardsville, Nova Scotia, this tech-savvy company produces both of its innovative product lines: the Performer (electronic gaming machine) and the Gameplan System (Responsible Gaming Solution) for regulated gaming jurisdictions worldwide. In its Kings Road location engineers, programmers, and designers are constantly developing new content for their gaming machines, new versions of their Performer gaming machine, and increased functionality of their Gameplan system. The company also develops gaming related solutions for the hotel room and internet marketplaces. Since the company’s inception, Techlink Entertainment has lived by a simple but powerful credo that “social responsibility is an essential element of gaming.”
With a new line of unique and innovative products, Techlink continues to reinvent the wheel. Gameplan, a card-based technology that empowers individuals to have more control and information when using gaming machines, is Techlink’s most innovative and responsible product. This technology allows players to track and monitor their spending over days, weeks, or even months, and is capable of locking players out from gambling for a period of time. Products like this position Techlink as a leader the development of responsible gaming solutions.
In 2004, NSBI invested in the development of Techlink’s proprietary responsible gaming solutions. This support from NSBI, along with that of the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation and the Province itself, has enabled Techlink to develop, manufacture, and sell the world's best responsible gaming system and position itself as an industry leader.
Business Result Achieved: Growth
In 2004, Techlink approached NSBI Venture Capital for aid with the development of unique, responsible gaming technology. NSBI agreed to partner in this development and originally invested $2 million in the project. After the technology was developed, Techlink eagerly put its new responsible gaming solution into the marketplace for a trial, and NSBI invested an additional $1 million to help with that implementation. Since then, the company has seen significant financial returns from the development of this innovative technology. With NSBI’s support, the company has reached new markets and has seen new interest in its products across Canada, in many other commonwealth countries and throughout Europe.
