Nicom IT Solutions designs and develops websites and online applications for clients all across Canada, including the Halifax Seaport, Port of Halifax, Ganong Bros. Limited, Medavie EMS, and Aliant. The company also developed a Container Tracking System for the Halifax Port Authority, making it the first port in Canada to install container tracking.
In 2007, Nicom IT Solutions was inducted into Microsoft’s Partner Excellence program, a unique organization of only 60 companies in Canada. This past year, Nicom was also certified with the “Microsoft Small Business Specialist” designation, in recognition of its training and proven expertise in building solutions for small businesses.

Based on the Container Tracking System Nicom IT Solutions developed for the Halifax Port Authority, the company won a major contract to rebuild the port logistics system for the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay. This organization, based in Philadelphia, promotes trade at the world’s largest freshwater port. Nicom IT Solutions impressively beat out other contenders from all over North America, sealing the deal for the Delaware River Project in Philadelphia. Throughout the process, Nicom IT Solutions took advantage of the many of the trade programs offered by NSBI, including trade missions, export prospector program, service export program, and the go-ahead program.
