Records Analyst (Full Time; 1 year term or secondment)

Reporting to the Information Manager, the successful applicant for this position will work towards ensuring the orderliness, accessibility and protection of NSBI’s corporate information.

As the Records Analyst, the successful candidate will:

  • Analyze NSBI’s business functions and processes and develop, implement & maintain a records classification and retention system for operational records;
  • Coordinate the use and adoption of NSBI’s customer relationship management (CRM) database platform to ensure it is a complete and up-to-date record of the organization’s contacts, opportunities and campaigns;
  • Create and maintain NSBI’s records management procedures, templates and user guides, and CRM database platform user guides; 
  • Create and deliver employee training and awareness activities around both NSBI records management policies, procedures and retention systems and the use and operation of CRM database platform user guides;     
  • Maintain and update NSBI’s corporate policy manual; and
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties in support of NSBI’s access to information and protection of privacy compliance activities. 
 
The ideal candidate for this position will:
  • Have a university degree or a college/technical school advanced diploma in Information Management, Records Management, Library Science, or in a related field plus a minimum of two years related work experience;
  • Demonstrate strong database management skills and a proven ability to work with records classification and retention systems;
  • Show awareness of Information access and Privacy laws (FOIPOP & PIIDPA);
  • Exhibit excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills;
  • Possess a proven record of exceptional client service & time management skills;
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills with a high proficiency in applications such as MicroSoft Office, HTML and SharePoint;
  • In addition experience with the Nova Scotia Government’s STAR/STOR system and knowledge of electronic record-keeping software would be considered an asset. 

Salary Range:   $39,500 - $49,400
