Lisa Bugden brings many years of expertise in public affairs, advertising and marketing to her role as NSBI’s Vice-President of Marketing and Communications.
She spent the first eight years of her career working for the federal and provincial governments and later worked in a senior communications role with Casino Nova Scotia. During this time, Lisa was one of six employees responsible for the pre-opening of the permanent casino in Halifax.
As a consultant and as former General Manager for the Atlantic Canada division of Weber Shandwick, Lisa has worked with many clients such as the Brain Repair Centre, Labatt Breweries of Canada and Canadian Tire to develop brand strategies. She has also assisted in developing communications programs for Nova Scotia Power and Capital Health.
Lisa is a public relations graduate from Mount Saint Vincent University. She has served on the board for the Ecology Action Centre and has chaired various committees for the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. Lisa currently volunteers with the Brigadoon Children’s Camp, a non-profit organization building a year-round facility for children, youth and families living with chronic illnesses.
