She leads a team of HR professionals who work to ensure human resources programs and policies are delivered to a high standard while creating a forward thinking workplace.
Prior to her role at NSBI, Joanna worked in human resources management for several military bases, a school board in Ontario, the Department of Justice, and a local telecommunications company in Halifax. With a diverse human resources generalist background, she has experience in implementing programs to attract, develop and engage talent and facilitate the building of a quality organization.
Joanna is passionate about her work and continues to build on this experience as the Director of Human Resources for NSBI. She has completed her human resources certification earlier in her career and is currently working towards her certification as a specialist in compensation and a degree in psychology from Saint Mary’s University.
