Arturo Mena, Trade Development Executive - With nearly twenty years’ experience in international trade and finance, including leadership of a $10 million per year import/export company, Arturo brings a wealth of real-world experience to his conversations with clients.
As someone accustomed to building relationships in unfamiliar markets, Arturo enjoys learning the business of local companies and using that knowledge to help them make quality connections to opportunities in new countries.
He believes strongly that by “really hearing you” he can develop the tailored opportunities your business needs and make sure you’re well-prepared to navigate the challenges of entering a foreign market.
His deliberate, targeted approach is also making Arturo a rapidly rising star. He’s currently pursuing his Certified International Trade Professional designation. As part of his certification work, Arturo and his project partner were recently chosen from among 214 students to win an award for their International Marketing Plan from the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT).
Arturo’s advice to businesses interested in export underlines the idea that taking the time to build the right relationships is key. “In exporting, as in any other business, success is 10 percent inspiration and 90 percent perspiration. Build relations, build trust, THEN you sell.”
